Distributed as an `.mcpb` (MCP Bundle) package for easy installation.\n\n## Tools\n\n| Tool | Description |\n|------|-------------|\n| `jira_get_current_user` | Get current user information |\n| `jira_search_issue` | Search issues using JQL |\n| `jira_get_issue` | Get an issue by ID or key, including comments |\n| `jira_create_issue` | Create a new issue |\n| `jira_update_issue` | Update issue fields or transition status |\n| `jira_add_comment` | Add a comment to an issue |\n| `jira_get_transitions` | List available workflow transitions for an issue |\n| `jira_get_worklogs` | Get all worklogs updated since a given timestamp |\n| `jira_add_worklog` | Log work on an issue |\n| `jira_get_all_projects` | List all accessible projects |\n| `jira_get_all_project_types` | List all project types on the instance |\n\n## Installation\n\nInstall via the `.mcpb` bundle using the [`mcpb`](https://github.com/anthropics/mcpb) CLI:\n\n```sh\nmcpb install jira-mcp-server.mcpb\n```\n\nYou will be prompted for your Jira base URL and personal access token.\n\n## Configuration\n\n| Parameter | Env var | Description |\n|-----------|---------|-------------|\n| `--jira-url <URL>` | `JIRA_URL` | Base URL of your Jira DataCenter instance (e.g. `https://jira.example.com`) |\n| `--jira-token <TOKEN>` | `JIRA_TOKEN` | Personal access token for authentication |\n\nTo generate a personal access token in Jira DataCenter: **Profile → Personal Access Tokens → Create token**.\n\n## Building from Source\n\nRequires Rust and the `mcpb` CLI. First run `./configure` to select target platforms, then `make`.\n\n```sh\n./configure          # default: Linux only\n./configure --mac    # also installs osxcross (requires sudo)\nmake all             # build all configured platforms and produce .mcpb bundle\n```\n\n`./configure --windows` installs `mingw-w64`, and `./configure --mac*` clones and builds [osxcross](https://github.com/tpoechtrager/osxcross) at `/opt/osxcross`.
