Install and authenticate Factory Droid:\n   ```sh\n   curl -fsSL https://app.factory.ai/cli | sh\n   droid\n   ```\n2. Copy or symlink `factory-droid/` into your agent's skill directory.\n3. Let the agent load `factory-droid/SKILL.md` when you ask it to use Factory Droid.\n4. Verify the installation:\n   ```sh\n   droid exec -o json --auto low \"Respond with: OK\"\n   ```\n\n## Triggers\n\nUse this bundle for requests such as:\n\n- \"Use Factory Droid to implement this feature.\"\n- \"Run a spec-first coding task with droid.\"\n- \"Use droid in an isolated worktree.\"\n- \"Delegate this larger refactor to Factory.\"\n\nIt is not a Factory CLI replacement and does not install, authenticate, or operate `droid` on its own.\n\n## Requirements\n\n- macOS or Linux\n- Factory's `droid` CLI installed and authenticated\n- A Git repository for coding tasks, especially tasks that write files\n\n## Repository Layout\n\n```text\nfactory-droid/          # Portable Agent Skill bundle\n  SKILL.md              # Agent instructions and trigger metadata\n  references/           # Load-on-demand operational detail\nAGENTS.md               # Instructions for agents changing this repository\nCONTRIBUTING.md         # Human contribution workflow\nscripts/validate.py     # Dependency-free structural validation\n```\n\n## Provenance\n\nThis repository extracts the standalone `factory-droid` skill originally proposed in [NousResearch/hermes-agent#43347](https://github.com/NousResearch/hermes-agent/pull/43347), at source commit `cf84ebfc7ad4ebb3ac72cc6f70685a08f36e21fb`. It is maintained independently so it can be installed and improved without waiting for that upstream PR.\n\n## Contributing\n\nRead [CONTRIBUTING.md](CONTRIBUTING.md), then run:\n\n```sh\npython3 scripts/validate.py\n```\n\nReleased under the [MIT License](LICENSE).\n"}
