They teach the AI Agent _how_ to complete specific tasks in a repeatable, high-quality way, whether that’s creating distinctive UI components, building robust APIs, or following strict brand guidelines.\n\nEach skill is self-contained within its own folder and includes a `SKILL.md` file that defines the instructions and metadata used by the AI Agent.\n\n## Why skillcn?\n\n- **📦 Standardized:** A consistent format for agent instructions that works across different AI tools.\n- **🧩 Modular:** Don't bloat your context. Install only the specific skills your project needs.\n- **🤝 Community-Driven:** Benefit from shared prompt engineering best practices without reinventing the wheel.\n\nFor more information, check out: [agentskills.io](https://agentskills.io/)\n\n## Install\n\nInstall a skill with your preferred package manager:\n\n**Using PNPM:**\n\n```bash\npnpx skillcn add [skill]\n```\n\n**Using Bun:**\n\n```bash\nbunx --bun skillcn add [skill]\n```\n\n**Using NPM:**\n\n```bash\nnpx skillcn add [skill]\n```\n\n### Usage Examples\n\n#### Local Skills (Bundled)\n\n**Install a single skill:**\n\n```bash\npnpx skillcn add frontend-design\n```\n\n**Install multiple skills at once:**\n\n```bash\npnpx skillcn add frontend-design astro-builder\n```\n\n**List available skills:**\n\n```bash\npnpx skillcn list\n```\n\n**Preview installation (dry run):**\n\n```bash\npnpx skillcn add frontend-design --dry-run\n```\n\n#### GitHub Skills (Remote)\n\n**Install a skill from a GitHub repository:**\n\n```bash\npnpx skillcn add https://github.com/user/repo\n```\n\n**Preview GitHub installation (dry run):**\n\n```bash\npnpx skillcn add https://github.com/user/repo --dry-run\n```\n\n## How It Works\n\nWhen you install a skill:\n\n1. `skillcn` copies the skill files to your project's `.agents/skills` directory\n2. Each skill contains its implementation, documentation, and configuration\n3. Your AI agent can now use that skill's capabilities\n\n```bash\nyour-project/\n├── .agents/\n│   └── skills/\n│       └── frontend-design/\n│           └── SKILL.md\n│       └── astro-builder/\n│           └── SKILL.md\n├── src/\n└── package.json\n```\n\n## Available Commands\n\n| Command                         | Description                      |\n| ------------------------------- | -------------------------------- |\n| `skillcn add <skill...>`        | Install one or more local skills |\n| `skillcn add <github-url>`      | Install skill from GitHub repo   |\n| `skillcn list` or `skillcn ls`  | List all available local skills  |\n| `skillcn add <skill> --dry-run` | Preview what would be installed  |\n\n## Contributing\n\nWe welcome contributions! Whether it's:\n\n- 🆕 Adding new skills\n- 🐛 Fixing bugs\n- 📖 Improving documentation\n- 💡 Suggesting features\n\nPlease see [Contributing.md](CONTRIBUTING.md) for details on our code of conduct and the process for submitting pull requests.\n\n### Creating a New Skill\n\nHave an idea for a skill? Check out our [Skill Creation Guide](CONTRIBUTING.md#creating-skills) to learn how to:\n\n1. Structure your skill\n2. Write documentation\n3. Submit it to the collection\n\n## Security\n\nIf you discover any security related issues, please email author instead of using the issue tracker.\n\n## Changelog\n\nPlease see the [Changelog](CHANGELOG.md) for more information on what has changed recently.\n\n## Acknowledgments\n\nBuilt with:\n\n- [tsdown](https://tsdown.dev/) - The Elegant Library Bundler\n- [Commander.js](https://github.com/tj/commander.js) - CLI framework\n- [Clack](https://github.com/natemoo-re/clack) - Beautiful prompts\n- [Picocolors](https://github.com/alexeyraspopov/picocolors) - Tiny colors library\n\n## License\n\nPlease see the [LICENSE](LICENSE) for more information.\n\n[npm]: https://www.npmjs.com/package/skillcn\n[version-badge]: https://img.shields.io/npm/v/skillcn.svg\n[downloads-badge]: https://img.shields.io/npm/dt/skillcn\n[github-actions]: https://github.com/mhdcodes/skillcn/actions/workflows/build.yml\n[github-actions-badge]: https://github.com/mhdcodes/skillcn/actions/workflows/build.yml/badge.svg?branch=main\n[typescript-badge]: https://img.shields.io/npm/types/skillcn\n[makepr]: https://makeapullrequest.com\n[makepr-badge]: https://img.shields.io/badge/PRs-welcome-brightgreen.svg?style=flat-square\n[biome]: https://biomejs.dev\n[biome-badge]: https://img.shields.io/badge/Formatted_with-Biome-60a5fa?style=flat&logo=biome\n"}
