Each tool is implemented as a Claude Code plugin with slash commands, agents, and skills.\n\n## Available Tools\n\n### Auto-Tagger (`/tag-notes`)\n\nAutomatically assigns tags to Obsidian notes based on their content.\n\n**Features:**\n- Assigns tags from predefined categories that clearly match note content\n- Fast batch processing with parallel execution (up to 10 concurrent)\n- Dry-run mode for simulation\n- Preserves existing tags while adding new ones\n\n**Usage:**\n```\n/tag-notes # Process entire vault\n/tag-notes inbox # Process inbox folder\n/tag-notes notes/projects # Process specific subfolder\n/tag-notes . --dry-run # Simulate on entire vault\n/tag-notes --criteria custom.md # Use custom criteria file\n/tag-notes inbox --criteria papers.md # Combine folder + criteria\n```\n\n**Tag Criteria:**\n- Judgment rules: [`skills/tag-criteria/SKILL.md`](skills/tag-criteria/SKILL.md)\n- Default tag definitions: [`skills/tag-criteria/tags/_all.md`](skills/tag-criteria/tags/_all.md)\n- Custom criteria files can be placed in `tags/` directory and specified with `--criteria`\n\n**Model Configuration:**\n\nThe auto-tagger agent uses `opus` model by default for highest accuracy. To change the model, edit `agents/obsidian-tagger.md`:\n\n```yaml\nmodel: opus # Options: opus, sonnet, haiku\n```\n\n- `opus` - Default, highest accuracy (recommended)\n- `sonnet` - Good balance of cost and accuracy (95% match with opus in testing)\n- `haiku` - Fastest and cheapest, may reduce tagging accuracy\n\n### Japanese Formatter (`/format-japanese-note`)\n\nApplies consistent Japanese formatting rules to Obsidian notes.\n\n**Features:**\n- Converts half-width colons to full-width (`:`→`：`)\n- Inserts spaces at half-width/full-width boundaries (`VGGTは`→`VGGT は`)\n- Converts half-width parentheses to full-width (`(説明)`→`（説明）`)\n- Preserves URLs, code blocks, and Markdown syntax\n- Dry-run mode for preview\n\n**Usage:**\n```\n/format-japanese-note inbox/note.md # Format single file\n/format-japanese-note inbox # Format all files in folder\n/format-japanese-note inbox/note.md --dry-run # Preview changes\n```\n\n**Formatting Rules:**\n- See [`commands/format-japanese-note.md`](commands/format-japanese-note.md) for detailed rules\n\n### Mind Map Extractor (`/extract-mindmap`)\n\nExtracts hierarchical structure from NotebookLM Mind Map images and converts to Mermaid format.\n\n**Features:**\n- Analyzes NotebookLM Mind Map images\n- Outputs Mermaid mindmap syntax\n- Preserves original node text and hierarchy\n- Supports Japanese and English content\n\n**Usage:**\n```\n/extract-mindmap ./downloads/NotebookLM_Mind_Map.png\n/extract-mindmap ~/Desktop/mindmap.png --output inbox/project.mermaid.md\n```\n\n### Mind Map Memofy (`/memofy-mindmap`)\n\nTransforms Mermaid mind maps into detailed Markdown notes by enriching each leaf node with web search results.\n\n**Features:**\n- Parses Mermaid mindmap structure\n- Web search enrichment for each leaf node\n- Parallel processing (up to 10 concurrent)\n- Auto-generates context description\n- Respects copyright (no verbatim copying)\n\n**Usage:**\n```\n/memofy-mindmap inbox/project.mermaid.md\n/memofy-mindmap inbox/project.mermaid.md --output notes/project-overview.md\n/memofy-mindmap inbox/project.mermaid.md --context \"Project X overview\"\n/memofy-mindmap inbox/project.mermaid.md --max-chars 300\n```\n\n**Typical Workflow:**\n1. Generate Mind Map in NotebookLM\n2. `/extract-mindmap` to convert image → Mermaid\n3. (Optional) Edit Mermaid in Obsidian\n4. `/memofy-mindmap` to enrich → Markdown note\n\n**Background:**\n\nI was impressed by how NotebookLM's Mind Map feature captures the structure of source materials in a brilliant top-down manner. I realized that enriching these mind maps with additional detail could produce excellent reference documents. This led me to implement these commands. So far, I have been satisfied with the results!\n\n## Requirements\n\n- Claude Code CLI\n- Obsidian MCP Tools (obsidian-mcp-tools)\n- Bash (Linux/macOS native, Windows via Git Bash)\n\n## Installation\n\nRun from Git Bash:\n\n```bash\n./deploy.sh\n./deploy.sh --uninstall # to uninstall\n```\n\n## Project Structure\n\n```\nobsidian-claude-tools/\n├── .beads/ # Issue tracking (beads)\n├── .claude-plugin/\n│ └── plugin.json # Plugin metadata\n├── agents/\n│ ├── obsidian-tagger.md # Auto-tagger agent\n│ └── leaf-describer.md # Mind map leaf enrichment agent\n├── commands/\n│ ├── tag-notes.md # /tag-notes command\n│ ├── format-japanese-note.md # /format-japanese-note command\n│ ├── extract-mindmap.md # /extract-mindmap command\n│ └── memofy-mindmap.md # /memofy-mindmap command\n├── skills/\n│ └── tag-criteria/\n│ ├── SKILL.md # Judgment rules\n│ └── tags/\n│ ├── _all.md # Default tag definitions\n│ └── *.md # Custom criteria files\n├── deploy.sh # Deployment script\n└── README.md\n```\n\n**Note on `.beads/`:** This project uses [beads](https://github.com/steveyegge/beads) for issue tracking.
