Set up

Skills are installed by placing their folder where your agent loads skills.

The download comes from github.com/jprichter/at4dx-agent-skills itself, not from our server, so what you get is exactly what its author published.

Install instructions come from the README

Skills do not use an MCP config. Follow the steps in the README below.

AT4DX Agent Skill

Validate skill

A self-contained, portable Agent Skill for designing, implementing, and reviewing Salesforce Apex changes that use AT4DX. It includes the architectural guidance, source-tracked metadata shapes, and Apex examples an agent needs; it does not require an AT4DX wiki or any sibling checkout.

Supported agents

The canonical package is .agents/skills/at4dx. It follows the open SKILL.md format and is discoverable by Codex, Gemini CLI, and AGY from that location. Claude Code discovers the same canonical skill through the tracked .claude/skills/at4dx symbolic link, so the instructions cannot diverge.

AgentProject installation
Gemini CLIKeep .agents/skills/at4dx in the workspace, or link/copy it to .gemini/skills/at4dx.
Claude CodeKeep the included .claude/skills/at4dx link, or link/copy the canonical directory to ~/.claude/skills/at4dx.
CodexKeep .agents/skills/at4dx in the repository, or link/copy it to ~/.agents/skills/at4dx for user scope.
AGYKeep .agents/skills/at4dx in the workspace so AGY can discover the portable skill.

For an installed or copied skill, preserve the entire at4dx directory so its references/ directory remains available. The skill is automatically selectable; invoke it explicitly as $at4dx where the host supports explicit skill selection.

Included guidance

  • Package-layer ownership and dependency direction
  • One-selector and one-domain-per-SObject constraints
  • Application factory, service triad, and Unit of Work patterns
  • Selector field injection and selector-method injection
  • Domain-process Criteria, Actions, sequencing, and testing
  • Copy-and-adapt Apex classes, triggers, factory bindings, and custom metadata

Start with the skill entrypoint. It routes to the focused references only when their detail is needed.

Scope

The skill deliberately does not replace local repository guidance. It directs an agent to inspect the actual selector, domain, metadata bindings, and tests in the target repository before making a change. It does not prescribe a Salesforce project layout or impose formatting that conflicts with the repository being edited.

The examples assume that AT4DX, fflib Apex Common, and force-di are already present in the target org. Confirm the installed package versions and compile against the target project before deployment.

Maintenance

Update the canonical files under .agents/skills/at4dx. Do not edit the Claude path independently: it resolves to the same directory. Validate after changes with:

./scripts/validate.sh
