Set up

Skills are installed by placing their folder where your agent loads skills.

The download comes from github.com/holy-templar/emote-forge itself, not from our server, so what you get is exactly what its author published.

Install instructions come from the README

Skills do not use an MCP config. Follow the steps in the README below.

Emote Forge

A Claude skill that builds a full set of streaming chat icons (emotes) as one contact sheet of 54 to 55 icons, in your face or your character, styled for the platform you stream on. Say "make emotes for my chat" and the skill asks what you want, writes the whole sheet prompt, shows it to you, and generates it on your approval through the MaxFusion MCP with GPT Image 2. No MaxFusion? It works with your own OpenAI or Gemini key, or hands you the finished prompt to paste into free ChatGPT or Gemini.

What you get

One landscape image, a 9 by 6 grid of 54 stickers (the model sometimes adds a 55th):

  • 18 base moods every chat needs (thumbs up, hype, shocked, laughing, sleeping, love, facepalm, rage, crying, and more), as busts of you or your character.
  • Callouts in your platform's vocabulary and your own chat's phrases (GG, LET'S GO, CLUTCH, GOAL!, TOUCHDOWN!, KO!, or whatever your chat shouts).
  • Theme objects for your sport or hobby: soccer, American football, boxing, or none at all for a pure mood set. Any other subject works the same way.
  • Full-body action poses and platform-branded items (laptop, scarf, can, heart).

Examples

Three sets, one per platform, all generated with this skill from the same face photo. Click any sheet to open it at full size.

Twitch streaming example emote sheet

American football theme, comic-book ink style.

Kick streaming example emote sheet

NBA basketball theme, graffiti street-art style.

YouTube streaming example emote sheet

Medieval theme, illuminated-manuscript storybook style.

Every set is built from the user's own reference or description, so no two sets look the same.

How a run goes

  1. Background. Transparent, because you will cut the sheet into individual emotes and upload them, or solid, for a finished sheet to keep or hand to a designer. Transparent sheets use GPT Image 2's native alpha output and have no glow.
  2. Idea and reference. Do you have a reference image? Upload it and the skill works from it. No reference? Describe what you want.
  3. Platform. Twitch, Kick, or YouTube. Colors, glow, vocabulary, and wordmarks all follow the platform. A Kick sheet is never reused for Twitch.
  4. Face or character. Your own face (upload a photo) or a character you describe. The skill never invents a character unless you say "be creative."
  5. Context. Jersey name, favorite number, initials on gear, chat-specific callouts, only when your theme calls for them, and only if you provide them.
  6. Engine. MaxFusion MCP if connected (GPT Image 2, fallback Nano Banana Pro). Otherwise your own OpenAI or Gemini key from a local .env, or the prompt alone.
  7. Prompt and approval. You see the complete sheet prompt and the exact model, ratio, and resolution. Nothing generates until you say yes.
  8. Delivery. The sheet comes back in chat. Defects are reported by cell number and nothing regenerates without your go.
  9. Cutting (transparent only). scripts/cut_sheet.py slices the sheet into one PNG per emote at natural size, never enlarged, into a folder per platform with the upload rules and slot counts for Kick, Twitch, and YouTube.

Full brand notes, vocabulary banks, and upload specs per platform are in references/platforms.md.

Requirements

  • Claude Code (or any agent that can follow the skill file and read the references).
  • One of:
    • MaxFusion MCP (recommended; generation happens in chat).
    • A paid OpenAI or Google Gemini API key in a local .env (Python 3, no packages to install). Transparent sheets need OpenAI, since the alpha channel comes from GPT Image 2.
  • For cutting emotes: Python 3 with Pillow (pip install pillow).
    • Nothing: take the prompt and run it in free ChatGPT or Gemini yourself.

Install

Full clone required; the mood map, theme banks, platform notes, and sheet spec live in references/.

git clone https://github.com/holy-templar/emote-forge.git ~/.claude/skills/emote-forge

For the MaxFusion path, connect the MCP:

claude mcp add --transport http maxfusion https://mcp.maxfusion.ai/mcp

For the own-key path, copy .env.example to .env inside the skill folder and fill in the one key you use. The .env is gitignored and the key never goes into chat.

Then say something like: "create chat icons for my Twitch" or "make me an emote set for my Kick, soccer style".
