Install

npx -y @heroku/mcp-server

Configuration

Variable	Required	Description
`HEROKU_API_KEY`	No	Needed only for the npx route; 'heroku mcp:start' uses CLI login
`MCP_SERVER_REQUEST_TIMEOUT`	No	Command timeout in ms (default 15000)
